Inaba Ittetsu was born in 1515. He was the son of Michinori. Originally named Sadamichi.

Career
Inaba Ittetsu began serving Nobunaga Oda (1564) and distinguished himself in the war with Nagamasa Asai and Yoshikage Asakura at Anegawa (1570). Later he killed Yoshikage and made а present of Yoshikage severed head to Nobunaga (1573). Distinguished himself again in quelling the revolt of the priests of Ikko (Shinshu) sect (1573). Later changed his name to Ittetsu. After the death of Nobunaga (1582) he joined the forces of Hideyoshi Toyotomi.
