Ahlawat, Indra Pal Singh was born on July 10, 1947 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. Son of Alam Singh and Choti Devi Ahlawat.

Career

Scientist Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, 1976—1981, senior scientist, 1982—1997, principal scientist, 1998—2004, head, department agronomy, since 2005.

Achievements

  • Achievements include research in Summer pigeonpea technology. Research in frenchbean based cropping systems production technology. Research in quantified the N economy by legumes on succeeding cereals.

    Research in nutrient management in pigeonpea-wheat system. Research in vermicompost and biofertilizers utility in legumes and cereals demonstrated. Research in production technology of late sown chickpea and lentil.

    Research in bt cotton production technology.
