Indarjeet Patel hails from Ellahabad He has notched up junior national records in the 5000 metre event. He qualified for the boys" 3000m final at the IAAF World youth athletics championship in Lille, France.

The 20-year-old from Allahabad clocked 01:04:56 to beat Soji Mathew (01: 05: 45), and Manitoba Singh (01: 06:17).

Achievements

• He is the Indian National Youth Champion in the 3000 metre category, and the National Junior Champion in the 5000 metre category. He is also the winner of the Asian Area Qualification Championship held in Singapore on 22 and 23 May 2010 in the 3000 metre category.
