Background
Ingyo Tenno was born in 342. He was the fourth son of Emperor Nintoku. Originally named Oasatsuma Wakugo.

Career
After ascending the throne reigned for 42 years under the name by which he is now known. It is said to ascertain family names to avoid confusion he conducted the Kzigatachi test on people. His palace was known as Toasuka-no-miya and his tomb can still be seen in Domyoji, Osaka.
