Career
Joined the Red Army and the Bolshevik Party, 1918. Communications commissar of all fronts, 1918. Minister of Post and Communications of the Ukraine, March 1919.
Head of the Red Army’s communications network, 1920, its Military Technical Administration 1924-1929, its Motorization and Mechanization Administration, 1929, and its Tank Administration, 1934. Member of the Revolutionary Military Council of the USSR. 1932-1934.’ Minister of Communications of the USSR. 1937-1938.
