Background
Innokenty (Beda) was born in 1881 in Moysentsy, Zolotonoshsky district, Poltava province (now Chornobai Raion, Cherkasy Oblast, Ukraine). He came from a family of peasants.

Career
In 1908 Innokenty took monastic vows. Since 1914, he was the cell-attendant of Archimandrite Peter (Zverev), the abbot of the Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Saviour in Belev, Tula province. During the years 1923-1924 he lived in Poltava province. Since 1924, again the cell-attendant of Bishop Peter in Moscow, since 1925 in Voronezh. He was a pastor of Alekseevsky - Akatov Monastery.
Unjustly repressed in 1926 in the case of Peter (Zverev), sentenced to 3 years in prison on Solovki. He died in custody.
In 2000 he was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church as a martyr.
