Inokuma Kaneshige made researches in various fields including history of laws, history of fine arts, history of manners and customs, ancient court and military practices and usages and archaeology. Serving first as instructor at Kyoto University, he became professor there (1947). Member of board of directors. Books include Methodology of History of Laws,History of Living in Japan, Historical Investigation and Researches in the Formation of Miyako Dance.
