Inomata Katsuhito entered Kamata Scenario Department of Shochiku Motion Picture Company. After leaving same company (1942), advocated independence of scenario writing; founded Scenario Literary Arts Magazine to train younger scenario writers. Most of his works are based upon theme of an individual torn between his personal life and demands of society.
