Worked as a priest in Georgia 1906 moved to Moscow, where he organized the “Union of the Russian People” and published the monarchist newspaper “Russkaya zemlya”, the journals “Poleshnyy” and “Vernost” and numerous pamphlets. Had considerable influence in the Synod and was involved in all major political developments.
Took part in Duma election campaign. 1908 attended 4th Missionaries Congress in Kiev, where he called the struggle against socialism the basic task of the clergy. After 1917 October Revol arrested as active supporter of old regime.
