LLOYD, Iorwerth Grey was born in 1844. Son of late Reverend Henry Robert Lloyd, Master of Arts, Rector of Cliffe-at-Hoo, Kent, and Harriet, 4th of Honourable and Right Reverend Edward Grey, Doctor of Divinity.

Education

Studied at Durham School. Exeter College, Oxford (3rd class in Law and Modern History, 1867). Master of Arts.

Career

Curate of Ashford, Kent, 1S6S- 69. Cliffe-at-Hoo, 1869-1871. Coulsdon, 1871-1879; Chaplain to 3rd Marquis of Ailesbury, 1878-1886.

Vicar of Hersham. Surrey, 1879-1883. Wiston, Pembrokeshire, 1883-1885. Clarbeston, 1885-S7; Rector of Bosherston, Pembrokeshire, 1887- 1903.

Rural Dean of Castlemartin, 1893-1903. Formerly a Member of Croydon (Surrey) Board of Guardians, and afterwards Chairman of Walton-on-Thames School Board. S.A.; Prebendary of Llandewi Aberarth in St. David’s Cathedral; a Surrogate for Diocese of St. David’s; Rural Dean of Dungleddy; Vicar of Slebech with Min wear and Newton North, Pembrokeshire; Honourable Secretary to St. David’s Diocesan Church Building Board; some time Bishop of Hereford and Prebendary of Westminster Abbey.
