Stage director with the Solodovnikov Opera, 1903-1906, and the Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow, 1906-1908. Organized the Musical Drama Theatre in Petersburg, 1912. Artistic and general director of the same till 1919.
Later with the Bolshoi Theatre, and in Kiev, Khar’kov and elsewhere.
