YUZEFOVICH, Iosif was born in 1890. Son of a worker
1905 joined Bund in Poland. 1912 sentenced for revol activities to four years’ imprisonment, which he served in Warsaw and Lomzha. After his release settled illegally in Moscow and worked for underground organizations.
1917 member, Moscow Centr Trade-Union Bureau. Company-founder, then secretary, Moscow Leatherworkers’ Union. 1918 sided with Internationalists.
Late 1919 joined Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks) together with Internationalists. Until 1928 chairman, Central Committee, Leatherworkers' Union. Also head, International Leatherworkers’ Propaganda and Action Committee.
Presidium member, All-Russian Centr Trade-Union Council. 1928, at 4th Profintern (Trade-Union International) Congress, elected member, Centr Council, Profintern. From 1928 member, Executive Bureau, Profintern.
August 1930 reelected and subsequently delegated to Centr Council, Profintern. Attended various international congresses, conferences and councils of revol trade unions in the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics and abroad. Wrote pamphlets on history of trade-unionism.

Peaceful coexistence among Soviet and Western block is a continuation of the class struggle between the socialist and capitalist worlds, but not based on armed conflict. The conflict is mainly economical.
