Studied work of such stage director as Meyerhold, Okhlopkov, Tairov, Nemirovich-Danchenko and Stanislavskiy and plays of Gorky, Pogodin, et cetera Wrote on drama theater, ballet, opera, music, operetta, circus, variety shows, painting, et cetera Specialized in plays of Gorky.
1946-1948 senior associate, Institute of World Literature. Translated plays from Polish, German and Czechoslovakian, including Jurandot’s “Such Were the Times”, Brecht’s “The Good Manitoba from Szechuan” and Askenazy’s “A Guest from the Night”.
