Education
Irene J. Duffy received a Bachelor of Arts from College of New Rochelle in 1954 and Juris Doctor from Fordham University in 1957. She was admitted to the bar in 1957.
Career
Irene J. Duffy began her career as an associate at Fulton, Walter & Halley in 1957. From 1959 to 1963 and from 1973 to 1974 she was an assistant chief enforcement attorney at Securities and Exchange Commission, New York City. For ten years Duffy served as a principal at Irene J. Duffy, Bronxville, New York. In 1974 Irene was appointed as an assistant Corporate Counsel at Yonkers (New York) Corporation Counsel, where she worked till1975, becoming an assistant district attorney at District Attorney' General’ s Office, County of Westchester, White Plains, New York. From 1977 to 1988 she was a judge at Bronx Family Court. Since 1988 Duffy has been an acting supreme judge at Bronx Supreme Court.
