Irene MacDonald

Career

She also competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics. She was a broadcaster for Canadian Broadcasting Company television covering diving events from the 1976 Summer Olympics through to the 1988 Summer Olympics.

Achievements

She won Canada"s first-ever Olympic diving medal, a bronze, at the 1956 Summer Games. She won a Bronze medal in 3 Metres Springboard Diving at the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games and a Silver medal at the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games.

Membership

In 1991, she was made a Member of the Order of British Columbia. She is a member of the British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame, the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame.
