Career
Although she is described by many as very funny, entertaining and upbeat, her music is often romantic and soulful dealing with love and relationships. She is also fluent in Spanish, French, and Arabic, but the songs for her debut album were mainly written and sung in English and Portuguese. Her musical style is described as Angolan People’s, a genre that crosses contemporary Semba, Zouk, People’s Rock, Rhythm & Blues, World Sound and Afro-Population
IRINA graduated from Saint John's High School in 2004, and then went on to attend Strayer University, from where she graduated with the highest distinction “Summa Cum Laude” in May 2010 with a Bachelors degree in International Business.
Her professional career began in April 2004 when she was chosen and highly recommended by H. Gil Ingles to be part of the production team for Anselmo Ralph’s debut album entitled “Historias de Amor” by writing, and collaborating vocally. In 2007, IRINA was invited by Jose Eduardo Paulino dos Santos to perform in the show Divas of Angola.
To date, IRINA was featured on CoreonDu’s debut album titled “The Coreon Experiment”, and also some music from her debut album “Sonhos” was featured in the independent film Paparazzi: Eye in the Dark.
