Preparatory education, Cascadilla School, Ithaca, New New York Bachelor of Science in Mechanics Engineering, Massachusetts Institute Technology, 1896.
Began, 1896, in employ of Merrell-Soule Company, Syracuse, and specialized in research in desiccation and evaporation of food products. Patent issued, 1899, for double cylinder evaporator, for desiccating vegetable pulps, now used for making dried milk. Associate with others in investigations resulting in production of Spray process milk powder and original development of vacuum pack can, for which many patents have been issued.
Retired January 1, 1928.
