While at college took charge of small chapel at East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and remained a supply 3½ years and built $10,000 church before graduation. Ordained Presbyterian ministry, 1892. Pastor First Church, Merchantville, New Jersey, since 1902.
Inaugurated, 1907, The Syndicate of Love, an organization now reaching around the world, for the distribution through personal letters the “hopeword” for the sorrowful and discouraged.
