Isami Shirai graduated from Agricultural Economics Department of Tokyo University (1925).
Career
He served first with Agriculture & Forestry Ministry and then as chief of Sangyo Kumiaika (Industrial Association Section) (from 1928), chief of Niigata Beikoku Jimusho (Niigata Rice Office) and chief of Inspection Section of Shokuryocho (Food Agency) (from 1945). Vice-Minister of Finance (July 1957).
Membership
Isami Shirai was a member of House of Councilors (since 1953).
