Taki served as director of Hiroshima Gasu Denki Kaisha (Hiroshima Gas & Electric Railway Company) and president of Japan Gas Association and thereafter became president of Shikoku Gas Company. He held various additional posts including those of chairman of Imabari Chamber of Commerce & Industry, manager of Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, vice-president of Japan League of UNESCO Associations, member of Internal Committee of the same league and president of Imabari UNESCO Association.
