From 1889 sang in chorus of opera troupe in Voronezh. From 1904 Chaliapin’s secretary and director of shows in which he appeared. 1918-1919 director, Svobodnyy Theater in Voronezh.
From 1920 chorist, from 1923 producer, from 1936 producer-inspector, Kirov Opera and Ballet Theater. Productions: in Leningrad Pagliacci. Lakmi: Rusalka; Yevgeniy Onegin.
