Education
After graduating from Tokyo University, continued his studies in Germany.
Career
Returning home after his studies in Germany, Ishihara Jun was appointed professor at Tohoku University. Acted as interpreter and commentator to Prof. Einstein, during the scientist's visit in Japan. Contributed much toward the study of science in Japan. Was also a waka poet belonging to the Araragi school.
