Career
Ishikawa Goichi became an espionage agent and was sent to China, where he travelled to the Mongolian borders. Was active in China during the Sino- Japanese War (1894-1895), but was eventually captured by the Chinese and executed in Tientsin. The Japanese attack on Fengtao is said to have been planned on his reports.
