Ishikawa Rikinosuke was born in 1844.
Ishikawa Rikinosuke was hard working and studious while still young. The whole day he used to work in the fields and study at night.
Ishikawa Rikinosuke was adopted by the Ishikawa family.
Much distressed at the plight of Yamada Village, where he was born, he stayed there for ten years and encouraged the folks to work hard in the fields (1892). Later Prince Yoshihisa Kitashirakawa, then president of Nihon Agrarian Association, sent him on a tour of Kyushu to encourage agriculture and restore povertystricken villages there. His work consisting of axioms runs into as many as 870 volumes.
