Achron, Isidor was born on November 24, 1892 in Warsaw. Son of Julius and Bertha (Maram) Achron.

Education

Graduate Conservatory of Music, Leningrad, Russia. Studied piano under Annette Essipoff and Nicholas Doubasoff, composition under Anatole Liadoff.

Career

Came to the United States, 1922, naturalized citizen, 1928. Concert pianist, playing in all parts of the world. Composed first work in 1937.

Composer: 1st Piano Concerto, 1937. 1st Sonnet for Violin, 1941. Valse Dramatique, 1941.

2d Sonnet for Violin. Suite Grotesque (for orchestra). Nocturne Fantasia, 1942.
