Assistant Osaka (Japan) University, 1968, associate professor, 1968-1987, professor materials science, 1987—2004, professor emeritus, since 2004. Visiting researcher Technology University Berlin, 1975-1976. Vice president Japan Accreditation Board Engineering Education, since 2005.
