ALTAMIRANO, Iván was born on August 3, 1906 in Santiago, Chile.

Education

Educated Liceo Alemán, later taking special courses in industrial chemistry and commerce. Founded Society Altamirano, manufacturing fertilizers and industrial oils, 1926. Formed cotton manufacturing firm, 1928.

Commissioned by government to study by-products of cotton in Europe, 1929. Founded Iván Altamirano y Compania woolen mills, 1936.
