Career
Participant of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940 and the Great Patriotic War. Machine gunner of the 69th Infantry Regiment (13th Army, North-Western Front). Distinguished himself in battle on 12.03.1940 on the island of Musti-Saari north-east of the city of Vyborg, reflecting several of the enemy's night counterattacks. During the Great Patriotic War he was the commander of the aviation unit of the 115th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment.
