Career
Expelled from Party for belonging to Zinov’ycv Group but reinstated after declaring complete solidarity with the policies of the Party and Soviet regime. After secretary of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Central Committee Kirov was assassinated on 1 December 1934, Kotolynov was arrested along with 14 others 25 December 1934 tried in Leningrad by assizes of the Military Collegium, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Supreme Court as the leader of the illegal terrorist “Leningrad Center,” allegedly founded in Leningrad by former members of the Zinov’yev Group.
29 December 1934 sentenced to death.
