PEDANYUK, Ivan was born in 1917 in village Zherdencvka, now Vinnitsa Oblast.

Graduate Khar’kov Institute of Journalism.

Career

From 1933 in journalism. From 1937 worked for newspaper “Visti”. 1939-1941 worked for Presidium, Ukraine Supreme Soviet.

During World War 2 served with Soviet Army. From 1953 deputy coordinating ed, 1958-1963 chief cd, newspaper “Radyans’ka Ukraina”. 1958-1963 chairman, Board, Ukraine Journalists' Union.

1959-1963 secretary, Board, USSR Journalists’ Union. 1963 head, Ideological Department (for agric),Central Committee,Communist Party Ukraine. Deputy and chairman, Draft Bills Commission, Ukraine Supreme Soviet of 1959 convocation.

Deputy, Ukraine Supreme Soviet of 1963 convocation. 1950 visited France with group of Soviet journalists.

Candidate member, Central Committee, Communist Party Ukraine from 1960.
