In 1970 Shteinar finished Beraznovskaya high school.
He finished Belorussian State University
Career
In 1975 Ivan worked as a director in Hatomelyskaya eight-year school in Stolinshchina until 1977, he worked as an employee in Gomelsky University. In 1978-81 he studied in the graduate school in the department of belorussian literature of Gomelsky University. From 1981 he is an assistant, senior teacher, from 1983 the manager of department of belorussian literature in Gomelsky University. Shteinar appears with the articles of literary criticism from 1980. Also he investigates a belorussian ballad with its relationships with public and slavonic people. He is the author of monograph «Sources of genre and poetical structure» of methodical allowance ( with coauthorship with V.Svukovskaya).
