1903-1907 surgeon in Warsaw Military district. From 1908 assistant professor, Chair of Physiology, Saint St. Petersburg Women's Medical Institute. 1911 defended doctor’s thesis.
From 1917 professor of physiology, Tiflis Medical Institute. 1919-1955 head, Chair of Pharmacology, Rostov Medical Institute. From 1928 also department head, Rostov of Institute of Labor Protection.
Began research in Pavlov’s laboratory. 1902 studied effects of pylocarpine on the secretion of the gastric glands. 1902 studied effects of alcohol on gastric secretion, a research work which won a Military Medical Academy prize.
Founded a new trend in pharmacology — age-group pharmacology. Established a relation between age groups and pharmacodynamics of narcotics, analeptics, gastro-intestinal drugs, cardiac glucosides, et cetera Studied balneological factors and pharmacological plants of Northern Caucasus.
