Volkodav Ivan Egorovich is the participant of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940 and the Great Patriotic War. Deputy commander of the 250th Guards Rifle Regiment (11th Guards Army, 3rd Belorussian Front). On the 26 of April 1945 at the head of the landing, force crossed the strait and seized a bridgehead on the Spit of Frisch-Nerung (now the Baltic Spit, Kaliningrad region), distinguished himself in battles on the bridgehead.
