Ivan Karpovich Voronov

Background

Voronov Ivan Karpovich was born in the third of November in 1870 in Voronezh, Russian Federation.

Education

He graduated from the Voronezh teacher's seminary (1889).

Career

He taught in the Zemlyansk district, later served in the statistical department of the Voronezh provincial zemstvo. From December 1918 he worked in the Voronezh Provincial Department of Public Education: the head of the statistical sub-department, the assistant to the head of the school sub-department. He lectured on English literature at the Voronezh State University. In the last years of his life, he was an economist is a regional plan.

Politics

He was close to local revolutionary circles, in 1905 arrested for unauthorized lectures on public health. Since 1906, he lived in the Caucasus, Moscow, Finland, England (since 1910).
