From 1918 with Red Army. Amateur dramatics instructor. Acted with army theater.
After demobilization headed Theater Section, Donetsk Province Education Department. Then actor and stage director, Krasnozavodsk Theater, Khar'kov. 1927 moved to far East with this theater.
From 1931 actor and stage director, then artistic director, Sverdlovsk Theater. Directed theater in Kirov, Permanent’, Rostov-onDon and Vladivostok. 1950-1952 chief stage director, Leningrad Bolshoy Drama Theater.
From 1952 with Culture Board, Leningrad City Soviet. Productions: “Lyubov’ Yarovaya” (1934). Gibel’ eskadry (Death of a Squadron) (1935).
