In 1895, Ivan Shuklin entered the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, where he was soon exempted from tuition for good success. In 1901, he graduated from, receiving a medal and the title of artist.
Ivan Adrianovich created portraits in sculpture or drawing by orders of wealthy individuals, mainly foreigners. Member of many art exhibitions.
In 1907-1911 Ivan Adrianovich worked in the workshop of the Academy of Arts on the monument to Ivan Savich Nikitin for Voronezh, participated in its opening (October 16, 1911). In November 1913, he went on a creative trip abroad and settled in Paris; in 1914 he was evacuated to Biarritz, where he had been living permanently since 1923.
