He studied at the Kursk Theological Seminary, graduated from the Voronezh Theological Seminary (1867).
Ivan Andreevich Ivanov was a teacher of the Russian and Church Slavonic language of the Voronezh Spiritual School (1868-1873). Pastor of the house church of the Voronezh Nobiliary Assembly (since 1870), at the same time the catehist of the Teachers Seminary (since 1879) and the teacher of the Diocesan Women's School (1870-1896).
