In 1958, Ivan Prokof'evich graduated from the Moscow Institute of Architecture.
During the years 1958-1963 Ivan Prokof'evich worked in the Voronezh Giprokauchuk Project Institute, from 1963 to 1984 - Giproprom Project Institute. He is the author of industrial, engineering and household building projects of the Voronezh Plant of Synthetic Rubber named after S.M. Kirov, the Mining Equipment Plant (1960-1965), the mining and refining plant named after M.I. Kalinin (1969). He took part in the designing process of the Pridonsky plant of mineral fertilizers in the city of Rossosh, Voronezh region, plants in Chisinau, Kursk and other cities.
