Ivan Vasilyevich Klyagin

Background

Ivan Klyagin was born on January 19, 1863 in the town of Livny, Orel, Russian Federation. He was from burghers.

Career

Since 1874 Ivan Vasilyevich lived in the city of Voronezh, where he later engaged in manufacturing business; served on the railway, in one of the commercial offices.

Since 1879, he wrote poems in the spirit of Alexei Vasilyevich Koltsov and Ivan Savvich Nikitin. Since 1887 he was published in Voronezh newspapers. He is the author of the poem book "Pervye opyty" (Voronezh, 1888), which was published under the title "Sbornik stihotvoreniy" in corrected and additional form (Voronezh, 1891). Klyagin's unpublished works can be found in the literary collection "Venok" devoted to him (Voronezh, 1908).
