Entered the School of Art, Edinburgh, 1884. Studied there and in Paris under the late Benjamin Constant, and in the Life School of Royal Scottish Academy. Paints landscape and occasionally seascape.
Represented in the New Pinakothek, Munich, by A Scottish Moorland.
In Corporation Art Gallery, Aberdeen, by Aberlady. And in Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, by Springtime, Midlothian.
