After a public school education he studied architecture at Yale University ana later in Germany.
Career
In Boston he began his career as draftsman in the office of Ware & Van Brunt, and following several years of empioymen; there, in 1892 joined Horace S. Fraser in partnership. During his practice Mr. Chapman planned a number of buildings in New England cities, including the Merchants Bank at New Bedford, Mass., State Armory at Nashua, N. H., High School at Concord, Mass., and numerous residences in Boston and environs.
