Career
Formerly a draftsman in the office of Bliss & Faville, after 1925 he was associated in partnership with Walter D. Bliss under the firm name of Bliss & Fairweather. Arriving in San Francisco when a young man he found employment with Bliss & Faville, and prior to the fire of 1906 supervised the con¬struction of Hotel St. Francis, one of the firm’s important buildings erected in 1904. During later years he was connected with the planning and erection of other large structures in the city and Bay area, among which were the Matson Building; the Balboa Building (where Bliss & Faville maintained an office for many years); Women's Athletic Club; the State Building, and the Oakland Hotel.
