He was educated in the city’s public schools (New Jersey) and attended the Farnum Preparatory Academy in Beverly.
At the age of seventeen Mr. Street decided to take up Architecture as a profession, and following a period of training, established an office in Philadelphia in 1907. Through the following years until the mid thirties he carried on a general practice, designing a number of churches, schools, various commercial and industrial buildings, also private homes of which attractive landscaping was a feature.
Mr. Street maintained an office at #1120 Locust. In addition to professional practice he gained a reputation as an authority on Ornithology, and contributed many articles on the subject to magazines.
Mr. Street had been a member of the Philadelphia Chapter, A.I.A. after 1921.
