His son Jaakko Jaakonpoika (1741 - 1805) built a church reminiscent of that at Petajavesi in jyvaskyla in 1775. Also he had erected a belltower at Korpilahu (1777).
The work of Eerik Jaakonpoika Leppanen (1776 - 1856) is known to have included the Petajavesi belltower (1821), which is connected by an enclosed corridor to the west arm of the church that his grandfather built.
