Career
Jack Gordon was born at Portuguese Glasgow, Scotland in 1863. He was one of the many Scottish-born football players who joined Preston North End in the mid-1880s as the Lancashire club assembled a side that was almost unbeatable. He continued to play for Preston until 1895, and later had short spells with Loughborough and Wigan County.
