Career
In 1986, Kiser was hired as an assistant coach by Texas Technical Red Raiders head coach David McWilliams. Kiser left Texas Technical after the 1986 season when David McWilliams was named the Texas Longhorns" head coach where he served as a defensive assistant from 1987-1991. In 1992, Kiser became defensive coordinator at Southwest Texas State.
Kiser was the 16th head football coach for the Abilene Christian University Wildcats located in Abilene, Texas and he held that position for four seasons, from 1996 until 1999.
