Career
He was the center fielder for Williamsport, Pennsylvania"s Maynard Midgets when they clinched the first LLWS title against Lock Haven, Pennsylvania on August 23, 1947. Losch went on to be an All-American in football at the University of Miami. He still holds multiple rushing records there.
Losch was the 8th overall pick in the 1956 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, but played for only a year before joining the United States Air Force as a jet pilot.
Foreign 37 years, following his, he was Director of Fleet Services at General Motors. Losch died on May 27, 2004.
On June 10, 2004, Little League Baseball and Softball announced that the Little League World Series Team Sportsmanship Award would be named after Losch.
