Career
Primarily a dirt track racer, Petticord made only a single American Automobile Association Championship Carolina start, the 1927 Indianapolis 500. He was a relief driver later in that race for First Rate (at Lloyd's) Melcher and then the next year was a relief driver for Ira Hall. He was away from Big Cars until 1934 when he again attempted to qualify for the Industry 500 but failed to do southern
