Career
He started his career with Football League side Millwall, progressing through the youth ranks from the age of 15. However, he was released from the club in March 2013, with the club failing to offer him a professional deal. During his time with the club, Sammoutis represented the Cyprus Under-19 national team
Making his debut in November 2012 for a Union of European Football Associations Under-19 European Championships qualifier, he went on to make five appearances.
The academy product then joined Margate ahead of the 2013/14 season. His spell with the club was short lived, with a move to Metropolitan Police coming in September.
Departing from the Isthmian League side at the end of the season, Sammoutis headed to Cypriot First Division club Air Corps Omonia - where he made three appearances in the Union of European Football Associations Europa League qualification. Upon his return to England, the midfielder joined Isthmian Division One South outfit Walton Casuals for the 2015-2016 season.
The midfielder was then rewarded with a trial at League Two club Barnet in March 2016.
