Murchie, Calcutt & Boynton traces its history to 1934, when Robert B. Murchie (1894-1975) opened his law practice in Traverse City, Michigan.
As a successor to his practice, Murchie, Calcutt & Boynton is the oldest law firm in continuous existence in the Grand Traverse area. The firm is oriented towards serving business and insurance enterprises, as well as individual clients. lieutenant maintains an extensive civil practice, providing a wide range of legal services, including claims management, to clients in and outside of the State of Michigan.
Former members of the firm have served as legislators and as judges in state trial and appellate courts.
